January 19, 1942 - March 4, 2025

Puyallup, Washington - Lillian May Doughton (83), a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on March 04, 2025, in Puyallup, WA. Her lovely smile, beautiful shining eyes, and caring heart will truly be missed. She was welcomed into Heaven to be reunite with her beloved husband, Richard.

Lillian was born January 19,1942 in Carmel, CA, to Glenn and Helen Stellman. Lillian grew up in University Place, WA, and she attended Lincoln High School and graduated from Clover Park High School. She was part of the Rainbow Girls in High School. After high school, Lillian attended business school for accounting. She married the love of her life, Richard Doughton on April 6, 1963. They had two children, Steve and Vicki.

Lillian's careers included working at United Pacific-Cascade as an accountant, Mickey's bakery, she ran an in- home childcare, worked at Safeway bakery in Puyallup, and as a courtesy clerk at Bonney Parks. She also worked at Western Auto and The Cider Press in Puyallup as an accountant and bookkeeper, Brad's Cable Electronics in Puyallup, picked and packaged daffodils in the Puyallup Valley, volunteered at the Sultan Food Bank, worked at the Sultan School District as a kitchen helper, served on the board for her home owner association in Sultan, WA, and worked at McDonald's in Monroe, WA. She worked many jobs and was a very reliable and hard worker.

Lillian enjoyed camping, fishing, baking, sewing, crocheting, knitting, beading, antique shopping, and gardening, with her love for flowers evident in her beautiful flower beds. Her favorite travels included Reno, Graceland, Maui, and Alaska. She loved watching The Price is Right and Let's Make a Deal and she enjoyed listening to Elvis Presley, Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, and Dolly Parton. She loved her family, her best friend Angel, and her granddaughters.

Lillian suffered a stroke in 2007, and over time became more dependent on her husband, Richard as her devoted caregiver. Following Richard's passing the end of September 2024, Lillian spent the last three and a half months of her life at Beckon of Love Adult Family Home, receiving wonderful care, with her daughter living nearby.

Lillian is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Doughton; parents, Glenn and Helen Stellman; siblings, Stanley Stellman and Glenna Henry; and her beloved dogs, including Bandit.

She is survived by her children, Steve Doughton and Vicki Cribbin (Doughton); granddaughters, Kourtney Doughton, Kayla Cribbin, and Shannon Cribbin; and many cherished family and friends.

A gravesite service will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025 at 1 p.m., at Sumner Cemetery in Sumner, WA. Richard's ashes will be placed with Lillian so that they may be laid to rest together. All are welcome to attend.

A lifetime together, a short time apart, and now reunited in Heaven. May you both rest in peace.
