LOUIS GERLACH Obituary

Louis Henry Gerlach Jr June 9, 1928 - April 9, 2014 Age 85, of Enumclaw, Washington, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2014, at home. Born June 9, 1928 in Melrose, Minn., he was the son of the late Louis and Theresa (Roelke) Gerlach. "Lou" proudly served in the navy, and worked in law enforcement, the postal service, and city and church maintenance. He was active in his church and community and in leisure time very much enjoyed recycling and making rosaries. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Jane Frances Gerlach; along with five children; Douglas (Patti) Gerlach, Timothy (Terri) Gerlach, Sheila Gerlach, Sherri (Kenneth) Gerlach, Patrick (Jenea) Gerlach and 11 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren and many other loving nieces, nephews and relatives. Funeral Services for Louis Gerlach will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, April 14, 2014 at Sacred Heart Parish, Enumclaw, preceded by rosary at 9:30 a.m. The Gerlach family is so grateful for the care and assistance of Hospice staff. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Franciscan Hospice.
