Steven Geffre Obituary

Steven Geffre Steven James Geffre was born on March 16th, 1954, and was taken too soon, leaving this world unexpectedly on March 31st, 2020. Steven had a deep love for the outdoors, especially fishing, and Seattle sports. He was a dedicated member of AA, and Steven made devoting time to helping others a priority. Steven is survived by his two daughters, Shannon and Amber, beloved grandchildren Quinn (10) and Kendall (6), his siblings Mary, Karen, Michael, Mark, Connie, Geralyn, Danny, Francis, and Randy, and his friend and business partner Vicki. Steven joins his father Baldwin, mother Rita, and brother Bob, to (as he always said) dance with Jesus. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date when it's safe for family and friends to travel and gather together.

I am so sorry to hear this, losing a loved one is never easy, but our loving God promises to give the strength and courage you'll need to endure, and to cope with the pain of your loss. He also promises to hold your hand every step of the way. (Isaiah 40:29, 41:10, 13) May loving memories also sustain your family during this difficult time. With heartfelt sympathy, your neighbor, Ann Smith.

We always called him Spiritual Steve. Such a kind and loving man. I used to see him every week in AA. He always used to smile at me and say tears of joy because I would cry in meetings s lot. He was right though. They were tears of joy and gratitude. Im so grateful to have had him as a part of my spiritual journey. Rest In Peace, my friend. ❤

When my bestfriend Doug passed unexpectedly at then end of 2018 and I ended up moving to another town. I started going to a new meeting and Steve was there every Tuesday. I started coming early so I could sit with him and talk. He became a very dear friend with wisdom, kindness and a patient ear. He helped me though a really tough time. I sat next to him at a campfire about 10 days before he passed and Im grateful for that memory, and all the memories. He always said he would never be able to give back what The Program gave him, but I think he did. Its still hard to believe hes gone. My deepest condolences to his family and friends. ❤
