Tacoma, Washington - Vasilakis H Basil, "Bill" was born May 13, 1932 and passed away peacefully on March 9, 2022. He graduated from Lincoln HS, served in the Navy, and started a family in 1957. He was a lifetime member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church. He retired from Cammarano Bros in 1994. His passions were his family, fishing, bowling, and spending time in Packwood. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Kathy. He is survived by his children Harry (Sheri), Dino (Donna), Michael (Kathy), Tina (Greg). Grandchildren Melanie (Colin), Matt (Teddy), Nicolas (Andra), Sophia, Joshua, Alex, Branden (Vicki), Anthea (Andrew). Great Grandchildren Benedict, Nathanael, Elliot, Carson. Funeral Service is March 17 at 11:00 am at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church.

I worked with Bill for many years at Cammarano´s. He got in touch again after my retirement and we occasionally talked on the phone and met for coffee. One memory I have is Bill often using my office phone to call his mother, speaking in a language I didn´t understand, with the occasional English word thrown in. He´ll be missed by many.

Our deepest sympathies to the Basil Family. We had a cabin down the street and Bill and his dog Cleo was very welcoming- well Bill was, LOL. Sorry Cleo. will always remember his kindness and the ongoing friendly battle he had with his neighbor Fiore, it was classic. Very sorry to hear of Bill's passing and have fond memories while we were neighbors.
