Brian Rudolph Obituary

SEATTLE, Wash.

Brian Thomas Rudolph, 34, of Seattle passed away April 19, 2016.

Born Feb. 12, 1982, in Seymour, he was the son of Michael and Kathryn Rudolph, both of whom survive.

Brian graduated from Brownstown Central High School in 2000. After earning his Bachelor of Science degree at Indiana University Southeast, he became a registered nurse and began his nursing career at Schneck Memorial Hospital in Seymour. In 2007, he relocated to Seattle where he served as emergency room nurse at Harborview Medical Center. He was pursuing a post-graduate degree through the University of Cincinnati to become a nurse practitioner.

Brian's life was one of service to others first as a firefighter with Pershing Township Volunteer Fire Department and later as a nurse. He was a kind and caring man, dedicated and ambitious, strong, resilient and compassionate. He is greatly missed by his family and his many friends in Indiana and Seattle.

Besides his parents, survivors include an older brother, Clint Rudolph, twin brother, Ben Rudolph, sisters-in-law Erin Rudolph and Tory Rudolph; nieces, Sophia Rudolph and Reagan Rudolph; an uncle, Bob Thompson; an aunt, Holly Bishop; and cousins Phyllis, Shannon, Shane, Becky, Caitlin and Isaiah Loper.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. June 4 at Winklepleck-Weesner Funeral Home in Brownstown with Pastors David Ison and John Vanderzee officiating. Interment will be at Freetown Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service June 4.

Memorials may be made to Pershing Township Volunteer Fire Department.

Up in the attic,
Down on my knees.
Lifetimes of boxes,
Timeless to me.

Letters and photographs,
Yellowed with years,
Some bringing laughter,
Some bringing tears.

Time never changes,
The memories, the faces
Of loved ones, who bring to me,
All that I come from,
And all that I live for,

And all that I'm going to be.
My precious family
Is more than an heirloom to me.
