DAVID GILLILAND Obituary
David Edward Gilliland entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior on October 13, 2012. He was born to Edward and Wilma Gilliland on March 21, 1947, in Everett, WA.
Dave accepted the forgiveness offered by Jesus at a young age, and lived his life as a reflection of Jesus. This testimony was obvious to all who knew Dave.
He graduated from Everett High School, married Joanne Bayne, and served in the Army 101st Airborne. Together they had 3 girls and homeschooled them because of love and their desire for the best for their children. He worked as a Kmart manager for 29 years, and then had a second career as a forklift driver at Columbia Colstor. He enjoyed music, woodworking, and hanging out with his grandchildren. He served as a music leader, deacon, and Precepts Bible study teacher at First Baptist Church in Richland with his church family. He reflected the Lord's love in all that he did.
Gifts in memory can be sent to: Wycliffe Bible Translators, P.O. Box 628200, Orlando, FL 32862-8200. Include a separate piece of paper stating that your gift is for: Project: 0-996659-00 Provide Audio Bibles in Papua New Guinea in memory of David Gilliland.
A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church in Richland at 1107 Wright Ave at 11:00 a.m. on October 20.

I absolutely loved the Sunday nights in the late 90's when Dave would lead hymn nights. Him reading the history and telling the stories of how the hymns came to be ALWAYS moved me. He was a fine man and the love of Jesus always came through. He will be missed. The King Family
