David Pritchard Obituary
David Pritchard, 59, of Nashville, TN and formerly of Honesdale, died on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 with his family by his side.
Born on May 3, 1959 in Honesdale, he is the son of Donald Pritchard of Honesdale and the late Marie Seelig Pritchard who died on March 8, 2018.
He was a graduate of Honesdale High School, class of 1977 and later earned a finance and marketing degree from Penn State University. David began his successful career in Philadelphia as a stock broker.
A man of many interests, he later moved to Nashville and started a company, Deko Art. He also became an independenttelevision producer and land developer.
A community organizer in Nashville, he was influential in bettering the troubled neighborhood of Trimble Hill, now known as Chestnut Hill.
He not only helped re-name the community but made the community more attractive with new street signs, bus stops and a helped the residents and law enforcement come together to make Chestnut Hill a safe home for many.
Before taking ill, David was a claims adjuster where he was able to help many following natural disasters.
He was a faithful member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Nashville and St. John the Evangelist Parish in Honesdale.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his sister Susan Pritchard of Bloomsburg, PA; his brothers Donald Pritchard Jr. of
Honesdale, Michael Pritchard of Langhorn, PA and Joseph Pritchard of Nashville, TN; his aunt Norma Pritchard of Honesdale.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 28th at St. John the Evangelist Church in Honesdale at 10 am.
Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Friends may visit Hessling Funeral Home, Inc., 428 Main St. Honesdale on Thursday, 4 to 7.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St Patrick's Catholic Church, 1219 2nd Ave S, Nashville, TN 37210.
