Matthew Campbell Obituary
Matt was born in Troy and was the son of Mabel Laraway Campbell and the late Michael Campbell. He was a 1990 graduate of Troy High School and had been employed for 18 years at Benny Sangiori Inc. For the past two years, he was the co-owner and operator of M& M Custom Paint with his business partner Manny Perez.
Matt was also an 18-year member of IUPAT Local 201.
He was an amazing father who loved spending time with his children and granddaughter. He loved his family very much and there was nothing he wouldn't do for them. Matt was great in many ways; he was loved and will be missed by many.
In addition to his mother Mabel, Matt is also survived by his loving children Cori, Matthew and MacKenzie Campbell and his granddaughter Mia. He is also survived by his friend and mother of his children Tammy Knight and his brothers Michael (Michele), Christopher (Jen), Jason (Gina) and Richard (Laura) Campbell. Matt also leaves behind his girlfriend Jennifer Sangiori. He was an amazing "father" figure to Ciara, Jose and Shalar and was a great friend and neighbor to John (Dorothy) Drescher. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles
The funeral service for Matt will be held on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at The Wm. Leahy Funeral Home, 336 Third St., Troy. Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 4-7 p.m.

Matt, I remember meeting for the first time years ago at the Pop Warner practice where our sons played together and at the JV level. You were one of the cools guys I met here upstate. My thought are with you and your family.

I count my self lucky to have known Matt and to call him my friend. I work at Sunnyview Rehabiltation Hospital where Matt did work occasionally. He would always talk about his children,how much he loved them and how proud he was of them. One time he asked my daughter to make a cake for Cori's baby shower. His face always lit up when I asked about Mia as I too have a baby granddaughter. He will be missed. I will keep you all in my prayers and may God help you find comfort in this very difficult time.
