Zachary Bolt Obituary

COHOES- Zachary John Bolt, 28, of Cohoes, N.Y., died peacefully in his sleep on Feb. 10, 2021. Born and raised in Menands, Zachary was passionate about his family, his Doberman 'Trigger', his motorcycle, the outdoors, and venison. Zach had an adventurous spirit and loved to travel, checking four European countries off his bucket list over the last three years. Zachary wore his heart on his sleeve but was a force to be reckoned with. He was hard working, loving, gentle, passionate, sensitive, humble and kind. He was Head Chef at all family gatherings. Zachary is survived by his parents, James Bolt and Theresa Tornatore; his brother, Jason (Tatianna) Bolt; and sister, Jayne Bolt (Daniel Miller). He was the devoted Uncle Wacky to his nephews, Dederick and Dason Bolt; niece Lianna Bolt; and future Godson, baby Miller. He is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Theresa (Salvaggio) Tornatore; and predeceased by his paternal grandparents, John and Hazel Bolt, and maternal grandfather, Samuel Tornatore. Friends and relatives may call at McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home at 8 109th St., Troy, N.Y., Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021, from 9 to 11 a.m. Funeral mass will follow at 12 p.m. at St. Pius X Church at 23 Crumitie Rd., Loudonville, N.Y., with Christian burial to follow at St. Agnes Cemetary in Menands. Social distancing, masks, and occupancy limitations in funeral home and church are required. http://www.lastingmemories.com/zachary-bolt

I knew Zach shortly after I met Theresa but the best memories I have of him was when we spent a couple of weeks in Greece. Zach was easy going and fun loving, I had a great time and thank you Theresa for including me. I will never forget him

We are so saddened to hear of Zach’s passing. He will be remembered by the members of our family as a person full of life; someone who laughed from the depths of his soul and had a bit of mischievous fun in him. He was fun to be around, whether it was one of the many sports teams he participated on or scouts or school activities, he always added great positive energy to the group! We are so sorry for your family and we grieve with you. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. May God be with you all!

To all of you,

I’ll always remember the times we shared in Menands school, playing kickball at lunch and every other sport, as well as growing up down the street from Zach. But what I will appreciate even more was that we had the chance to become closer friends in my late teens and the countless days I spent at his house, on the boat, bonfires, you name it... we all did it. I haven’t spoken to Zach in years and that’s a classic example of thinking you have more time and realizing you don’t. Zach had a huge heart and was a great friend. You’re all in my prayers and I hope the fond memories people share with you of the times Zach brought smiles to their faces can help bring a smile to yours in this heartbreaking time.

From my family to yours, I’m so sorry for your loss.

Dear Bolt Family,
In memory of Zack, I will never forget all of the Menands’ moments, We all shared so many great times. Perhaps the most memorable of all was when Harry decided he was going to take Zack’s dirt bike for a spin and drove right into the bundle of bushes and the fence that surrounded the grave yard. With Zack chasing behind him to put a stop to the accelerator, keeping Harry from driving right through the fence and into tomorrow. To Jayne and Jason, enough can not be stated on the connection that is created between friends who grew up in our community. I sincerely love you all and hope that some joy is brought to you in this time of pain. In going about each day as a means to carry forward the light in one another, I’ll keep your brothers name and praises held high through all actions and interactions with others.

My heart goes out to all of you. I loved you my whole life like brothers and sisters.,,,and Best Friends. It seems we were a part of the family all of all the Tornatore family. I loved the sense of family I felt there. Going from like an only child to a houseful of kids, I loved it. Please accept our deepest condolence from Ken and I. If anyone would like to call me, Theresa has my phone numbers. I hope to be at the funeral, my baby is buried there too. I'd love to support you all in person. Depending on the weather, if it's not bad, I'll be there. I love each and every one of you. Whenever Jayne or Maryann were grounded for like life, we all would gather on their front stairs in front of the house, and be there from morning till night. We never let them go through it alone. Seems our personal family and friends are loosing our babies all to fast. Please Lord, make it stop, and please give Jimmy and Theresa, Jason who I loved to snuggle at bonfires. And Jayne. Love each other through this and especially your Mama, she's gonna need you more than you'll ever know. I love you all, let the Peace of Jesus find your hearts, and live there forever to help you cope. Much love Theresa. I love all you guys. Love Geri
