Adele Zuckerman of North Branford, CT, formerly of Trumbull, CT, died peacefully at the age of 89, surrounded by her family, on August 12, 2023. The beloved wife of the late Lawrence Zuckerman, Adele was the daughter of the late Phillip and Lottie Burack. She graduated from the Bronx High School of Science and Smith College and earned her Master of Science degree at the University of Wisconsin.
Adele and Larry raised their three children in Trumbull, where Adele taught Biology for many years. She then went on to a second career in marketing research with Larry. Once they retired, they loved to travel the world extensively. Adele was also an accomplished cook, gardener, and quilter.
Adele will be dearly missed by her children and their spouses, Jacqueline (and husband Robert), Craig (and wife Teresa) and Andrea (and husband Eric); and by her six grandchildren, Megan and Emily Tynan, Madelyn and Shelley Zuckerman, and Rachel and Jason Stutman.
The family would like to thank the aides that cared for Adele over the past several years, as well as the doctors and nurses at Yale New Haven Hospital Emergency Room.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Alzheimer's Association, the Connecticut Audubon Society, or Yale New Haven Hospital.
