Craig YELTON Obituary

YELTON, Craig W. Craig W. Yelton was born on a bright and sunny day April 20, 1984 and deceased on July 8, 2018. He attended Booth-Fickett Elementary, Kellond Elementary, Utterback Middle School, and Palo Verde High School eventually receiving his GED in 2001. Craig experienced some troubled times for several years but emerged to build a prosperous life for himself. He received an Associate of Applied Science degree in Building and Construction Technologies in plumbing from Pima Community College while maintaining a 4.0 grade point average. After graduation he became a valued member of the Al Coronado Plumbing team in sales and service. As Craig rebuilt his life he found great excitement and solace in bass fishing. It became his passion. He also found pleasure in mountain biking and rode the El Tour De Tucson several times. Craig was a warm and wonderful son who will be missed by all who loved him. His family and friends will forever suffer the loss of his tragic death. Our beloved Craig is survived by his parents, Christine and Larren (Gloria) Yelton; brothers, Conner (Kellie) Childers, Kristopher (Melissa) Childers, Scott (Devorah) Yelton; sister, Kathleen (Joe) Rzewuski; aunts, Bobbie (Stan) Gold, and Carol (Walt) Maitland; nephews, George, Conner, Caden, Caleb, and his many devoted friends. His grandparents, Charles and Betsy Conner predeceased him. Arrangements by BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL.

So often, when we stop at that STOP sign, we remember Craig, and how he was out and about his house so often. A new, very nice family lives there now, but they dont spend much time out front, so there is no one to wave to. And, we miss that. Hard to believe that two years have gone by since that terrible night.

It's hard to picture my kitchen with out Craig and all that happiness he bought into it. We as a family will keep him in our hearts and prayers forever. The love Craig that you showed family and friends was so huge. The loss of such a vibrant human can only be understood by those who knew him and meet him and loved him. Till we all meet again Craig (T&J) My deepest condolences to his family.

We are so deeply sorry for your completely tragic loss. My parents live nearby, in the same subdivision. I visit them weekly and often saw Craig's boat and work truck. For years, I've heard from them and other neighbors about how friendly and welcoming it was by Craig's house. As my husband is also a fisherman, it broke my heart about the tragedy, on so many different levels. Prayers for all of your family go out from ours.

Just about daily, we turn left at that corner to get to Broadway. Several times a month, for about seven years now, we would see this cheerful young man (with a cap on) waving to us. If he had his back to the street, he would turn around when he heard residents stop at the STOP sign. We would see him coming and going, sometimes with friends, sometimes alone, and always, ALWAYS , there was that friendly wave, and a huge smile. Sometimes, we saw him busy tinkering with his boat, his head invisible, yet, he would raise it, and again that very friendly wave. His sunny personality was always welcoming.

Through dog walking, we knew the previous owners of that house (they had a little Westie, Penny), and when they decided to move back to upstate New York, they agonized about the house being sold to someone "nice". When the house was sold, she told me that "The nicest young man bought it".

And that he was. A very nice young man, and an asset to this neighborhood.

Our condolences to his family, his friends, his co-workers, and also, his many neighbors who cherished him.

For the little boy who was part of our household many days of the week, who helped me bake cookies, who thought my cooking was wonderful when it absolutely wasn't, who watched movies with me on Sunday afternoons then rode with me back to Blockbuster just to keep me company, who helped me fold laundry and who talked with me - about so many things - his dreams, his goals, his life. This little boy made me laugh so hard when he was only 7 years old! His sense of humor was that of a 40 year old and he could produce the perfect punch line in a blink of an eye. Craig honey,I will love you forever - I hope you're jamming to Steve Miller and resting in the palm of God's hand...

To craig's mother, Christine.
Although I've only known you a short time, it's been long enough to know you are a loving and caring person. I am sure your son also had these attributes. I am so sorry for your loss.
