David Seltzer Obituary

David H. Seltzer "WORLDS GREATEST LOVER" Age 81, of Tucson passed peacefully with his beloved and devoted wife Phyllis, and children, Jeffrey, Rebecca, Suzee and Elizabeth at his side. Dave was the love of Phyllis life for 49 years and they had the most amazing friendship and lifelong love affair. He was everything to Phyllis, her best friend and what she always felt must be the best lover in the world, the kindest and most loving husband anyone could ever imagine having. He was the most brilliant man with an unbelievable sense of humor. Family was everything to Dave; he was a wonderful son-in-law to Pearl Denemark, 99; father and grandfather to eight grandchildren and companion to cherished dog/nurse, Maggie Mae. He was a graduate of Long Island University and a decorated Korean soldier. Dave was an ethical fantastic businessman who owned several businesses including all the Morrows Nut Houses in Tucson, and the original Famous Sams on 1st and Prince. He knew and was known by so many Tucson residents and was a great employer to so many who loved him too. The family would like to express great appreciation for the love and care by Monique, our much loved doctor Jeffrey Selwyn, and the entire Bayada nursing staff, the VA in Tucson and their angels and finally, the blessed care David and the family received from the ICU team at St. Josephs. Funeral Services will be at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY on Grant Road this Friday, August 24, 2012 at 1:00 p.m.

Dearest Daddy..
It has been over a year & your loss is still so painful. The family was together this weekend to honor you. It was really nice. We got to hear some of Mom's book. It is so awesome, Daddy! I think you would be proud of her in many ways. A lot has changed in my life, Daddy. I'm doing a lot better than I ever have! I know I owe most if not all of it to You and Mom. Without you, I would never have been able to get better! Can you see me? I hope you know that I love you with all my heart and THAT will never be lost! I really miss your wisdom. When faced with a difficult decision now, I think about what you would want me to do. Of course all major things are discussed with Mom. But, it does help that I know in my heart that you watch over us all. I feel you, ALOT! I LOVE YOU, DADDY. xoxo..Lize

My Beloved Dave....It has been over a year now since you passed away and Rebecca, Elizabeth and Jeffrey spent the week end here at our home in Tucson to talk about and honor you. Jennie joined us at the cemetery for your unveiling. We all miss you and love you each and every day and thank you for being in our lives and want you to know you will continue to be with us forever. Dear Phyllis,
It has been so long since we've been in touch, and I have regrets about that. We are at our daughter's with her friends from Tucson. Mel asked if they knew you all and they told of
David's passing.
We are so sorry. With Love

I loved my days at the beach with Phyllis and Dave. We had so much fun sitting around talking, laughing and watching the kids play is the sand. When watching you walk hand in hand down the beach I felt how much in love you were.

Although we are sad for Dave's passing, we are truly blessed and grateful for the memories that will live on forever....Especially the fun times we shared together in Las Vegas for the Famous Sam's Conventions over the years. Dave was not only a friend and golf buddy, but a Mentor to my wife and me. Phyllis was truly the wind under his wings and we are sorry for your loss, You are an amazing woman and both of you very much adored by our family. Dave's love and laughter will live on through his friends and family and in our hearts always..... Love and God Bless, Frank and Jennifer Mast
