Faye Vera Sorells

SORELLS, Faye Vera, age 94, was born July 29, 1911 in Galena, AR and passed away December 8, 2005 in Tucson, AZ. She was the daughter of William Joseph and Rosa Hurley. After settling in Arizona she and her family spent many years in the mining communities of Clifton, Morenci and San Manuel. She and husband Seigel also spent several years in Peru. Through the years Faye was active in the Presbyterian Church in both Morenci and San Manuel. She also was a member of the Eastern Star and was regularly involved in local Bridge groups. Faye will be greatly missed as the matriarch of the family she cared for and loved deeply, but her quick wit, stories and "Nannyisms" are treasures that will live on. She is preceded in death by her husband, Seigel and son, Seigel, Jr. She is survived by daughter, Phelsadine Hereford (Carl); son, Don (Betty Jo) and daughter, Patricia Downing (Ted); 19 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren and one more on the way. Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 11, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at the ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel, 8090 N. Northern Ave. in Tucson. Graveside services will follow later in the day at 3:30 p.m. in Duncan, AZ.
