Gregory Vasquez Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Greg Vasquez announces his passing on Friday, October 11, 2019 at the age of 63, in his home surrounded by his family. Greg was born in Nogales, AZ on February 20, 1956 to Louis and Theodora Vasquez. Preceded in death by his father, Louis. Survived by his mother, Theodora; his daughter, Tanya; siblings, Victoria (Tom), George (Terri), Rebecca Becker (Ben), Fred (Teri), Ted (Linda), Ramona (Gabe) and Alex (Julie), as well as many nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends. Greg was a 1974 graduate of Flowing Wells High School. Greg worked for Vasquez Construction Company for many years. He was a carpenter/cabinetmaker at the University of Arizona for the last 23+ years. Services will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 601 E. Ft. Lowell Rd., Tucson, AZ. In lieu of flowers, donations to Casa Maria Soup Kitchen or American Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements by DESERT SUNSET FUNERAL HOME.

Greg was such a sweet and funny guy (whom I'll confess to having a bit of a crush on back in the day - and I'm sure I'm not the only one who did!). He built a beautiful loft bed for me 30 years ago, which I still have and treasure. The world will miss your gentle spirit, Greg.

Greg was part of our Vasquez family. He left us too soon. We love and miss him very much. He was always helpful to others and there when you needed him. He made the most beautiful wooden flag case for my Father when he passed away It meant so much to me. A wonderful person, a beautiful smile and dependable beyond belief. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Vasquez family.
