Jackson B. "Jack" Skog

Jackson B. Skog "Jack" Born October 5, 1930, in Minneapolis, MN, to Rueben D. Skog and Evelyn T. Skog. Died February 2, 2014. Jack met his wife, Beverly Cannon at Grinnell College in Iowa; they married June 17, 1950, in Glencoe, IL. Jack worked for the Austin (MN) Daily Herald, Northwest Daily Press Association (Mpls.), Green Bay Press Gazette and Tucson Newspapers, Inc. He and his wife then worked in market research in Tucson and eventually Minneapolis. After retiring to the north woods Jack covered county and local board meetings in and near Brainerd, MN, for the Lake County Echo. Upon returning to Tucson he wrote for both the Cabrini Chronicle and the diocesan paper. He was a volunteer and active in local groups and organizations wherever he lived. Jack was predeceased by sons, Timothy and Stephen. He is dearly missed by wife, Bev; son, David; daughters, Sage Skog, Mary Zacharias, Anne McKenzie and Joanne Kennedy and their spouses; ten grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Funeral Mass Monday, February 10, 2014, 11:00 a.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Church, reception after Mass in the church hall.
