James Crane Obituary

James Walter Crane, 83 passed away peacefully on Saturday, Jun 7, 2025. A native Tucsonan, he was born September 9, 1941, to Robert L. Crane (deceased) and M. Elizabeth Crane (deceased). He was the second son of four boys. Bobby (deceased), Don (Gail), and Gary (Kelly). After turning down the opportunity to walk on at The University of Arizona Men's Basketball team by Coach Bruce Larson, he completed his education and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Class of '67. Forever a Wildcat, he enjoyed watching and attending football and basketball games.

The University of Arizona is where he met his wife, Julie D. Pierce. They were married August 20, 1965. They had a son, Bradley Crane, and a daughter Diane DeLeon (Marco). Uncle Jim to several nieces and nephews, he enjoyed spending time with everyone in his family. Jim was a Pharmaceutical Rep for most of his working career. Early in retirement, he and Julie traveled to Ireland, England, Scottland, Germany, and parts of Eastern Europe. He enjoyed playing golf weekly with a mens group that included Coach Larson with whom he was able to reconnect with. His favorite activity in retirement was spending time with his wife Julie. No matter where it was, they went together.
