John was a great friend and valued high school and college classmate. We will all miss his awesome smile and positive outlookhe always had a nice word to say when you saw him. We visited together at our 30th reunion and I was reminded of how special he was to all of us. To his family please know that he loved all of you deeply and spoke about each of you to everybody. We've truly lost someone special but I'm thankful for the time we had together and the wonderful memories. Rest In Peace my friend.

I am so shocked and saddened by his passing. John was the PERFECT college roommate. Believe me when I say there was no more enthusiastic and committed fan of U of A sports than my fellow Wildcat trumpet player, John. Some of my happiest and life-long memories are of John and his friendship during high school and college. He taught me how to cheer, how to study, and how to enjoy life. I will miss you my friend.
