Nathan Lex Obituary

Nathan Thomas Lex passed away on December 2, 2024, in Tucson, AZ at the age of 29. Nathan attended Tucson Hebrew Academy, Tucson High School, Pima College, WGU, and the University of Arizona. He first began a career dedicated to helping others in 2003 at Dorothy Kret and Associates (DKA), where he served in various capacities until 2023. His community service began as a volunteer with THA and Handmaker, and extended throughout his life through the Rotary Club of Tucson. From 2017 to 2020, he worked with the public as a member of staff at the Pima County Library. Most recently, Nate began working as a tutor for the U of A Math Cats program at Mansfeld Junior High.

Nathan was preceded in death by his grandparents David and Estelle Kret, Joan and Packy Lex, and uncles Bernard and Steven Kret. He is survived by his brother, David Lex, and sister-in-law Shannon Harris; mother, Dorothy (Dot) Kret; father, Michael Lex; many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as his DKA family. And an impressive collection of Nerf guns.

A service to celebrate Nathan's life will be held on Monday, December 30, 2024, his 30th birthday, at 10:00 a.m. at the Tucson Botanical Gardens. Contributions in Nathan's memory can be made to TUSD, specifically supporting Nathan's Kids at Mansfield Junior High, to continue his legacy of fostering education and growth in the community.
