Olga "Augie" Thomas

THOMAS, Olga "Augie", after an incredibly courageous, Never-Give-Up battle, the captain of our team, leader of the pack, has retired to a more peaceful eternity. Born on April 26, 1935 in St. Louis, Missouri, Augie will be celebrating her 75th birthday with her loved ones that have gone ahead without her. Greeting her will be her parents, Presley and Laurana Anheuser and her dad's wife, Ginny. Augie's husband, Vernon and her baby sister, Laurie are also waiting to join her in celebration. And, of course, her most amazing Uncle Bill, and the many friends who took the journey sooner, are waiting to complete the party. With all the joy ahead for her, she leaves great sorrow behind in our hearts, but a piece of such an endearing spirit to keep our heads high and our souls enriched. Fortunate to be a part of that spirit are six children including: daughter, Misty (Chris) Ahearn with children, Summer Buckley and Jacob Buckley, Tucson, Arizona; Sandra Roldan, Corsicana; Vernon "Butch" Thomas Jr., Corsicana; Ron (Julie) Thomas, Ennis; Jeff (Michelle) Thomas, Palmer; John Thomas, Waxahachie; and a child of her heart, Mark Hanes. 11 more most wonderful grandchildren, Joy Roldan, Corsicana; Emily Chanon, Burlson; Nikki Allen, Sidney Mt.; Matthew Thomas, Ennis; Justin Thomas, Red Oak; Tamera Thomas, Ennis; Kent Thomas, Dawson; Dalton Thomas, Dawson; John Thomas 2nd, Ennis; Haley Thomas, Waxahachie; Raylee Thomas, Palmer. Six Cuddly great- grandchildren, Cole Chanon, Burlson; Matthew Thomas 2nd, Ennis; Danika Allen, Sidnet Mt.; Dakota Allen, Sidney Mt.; Skylar Thomas, Blooming Grove; Darian Lovell, Ennis. Vernon's siblings, Bobby Thomas, Mildred Spector, Wanda Jones, Don Thomas and Bill Thomas. Memorial Services to celebrate her life will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, April 19, 2010 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Pastor Edward Ricks officiating. Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at Belle Fontaine Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri.
