We are so genuinely saddened and will miss you dearly. I loved all the holidays or any day sitting on the patio with glasses of wine and good conversations, especially eating your delicious meals. Thank you for all your advice through the years, tutoring our kids, and most of all, loving our mom. We love you, Phil
Love, Marie Gillooly

I always admired my brother, Phil. He always achieved what he wanted, especially becoming an Air Force pilot. He always loved planes, building model airplanes and remote controlled ones too. He thoroughly enjoyed being in the Air Force and being a pilot. In 1981 a movie was made, Red Flag: the Ultimate Game, and it included Phil´s flying techniques while stationed at Davis-Monthan Air Force base in Tucson. He kept us entertained with hilarious stories about his years in the Air Force. When he retired, he joined my dad, Lt. Col. (Retired) Harold W. Gilbert, in the Quiet Birds. It was a group of retired pilots who met once a month and kept in touch during retirement, remembering their Air Force days.
Teaching Physics at Tuscon High School was challenging yet exciting as he guided students through situations that helped them look forward to their future.
I miss him terribly.
