Another year has gone by and it is hard to believe that you have been gone 11 years. Every day I think of you and every time I see a ladder truck I get teary eyed. Miss you so much.
Love,
Patty (your usual spelling of my name!)

We're going to miss Ray - WB7OHF (SK), a long time amateur radio operator who loved the "Magic Band", 6- meters. I've known Ray for over 20 years and found him to be a gentleman in every way, a generous and caring person. Ray was fond of having breakfast with other ham radio operators and we knew that he and Vourneen would be there every Saturday morning. It won't be the same. Ray is now a "Silent Key".

My condolences to Vourneen, Patty, and Raymond, their families and all those who mourn the loss of RC. I always enjoyed talking to RC. We were both ham radio operators, though I was no longer active, and we talked about the hobby quite a bit over the years. As a child I always thought it was pretty neat that RC was a fireman.
When I was six or seven, the elementary school I attended had a fire prevention program for the students, and offered membership in a club. However to be “official,” the membership card had to be signed by a real fireman. No problem, as RC signed it. I was quite proud of that card and that my cousin had signed it!
RC will be missed by many, I'm sure.
