Richard Imel Obituary

IMEL, Richard K., in loving memory, was born February 19, 1950 and died March 25, 2008 in Tucson. Husband and Best Friend of Teresa B. Imel for 26 years. Preceded in death by his father, Clarence Imel in 1983. Survived by mother, Jane Imel; sisters, Martha Imel Smith, Kathy Imel Campbell; brother, Thomas P. Imel; nieces, Karla, Laura, Michelle and nephews, Sean and Kale. Rick graduated from Sacred Heart College in 1972 and was a Navy corpsman from 1972 to 1977 and was also employed by St. Joseph's Hospital as a microbiologist. Rick was known by all to be the most kindest, caring and soft spoken man that most will ever know. He loved his passion of golf and meeting-dining with friends and listening to music. Rick was always a friend that truly listened and offered a comforting direction on life's unexpected challenges and was a loving, compassionate and dear friend to everyone he met. We were very sad to hear the news about Rick. Emma and I worked with Rick at GHMA Medical Centers. Rick was always kind and helpful and had a great sense of humor. He introduced us to some great music and he also traded camera gear with me. We always remember Rick whenever we make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. He brought one to work for lunch just about every day. Rick will be in our prayer's. We will never forget him. Our condolence's to his family.
