Kyle Shelton Obituary

SHELTON - Kyle Rex, died peacefully on March 15, 2008, which was celebrated in Dublin as St. Patrick's Day. Kyle had traveled to Ireland recently with his son and believed strongly in the luck of the Irish. He was born August 23, 1956. His parents were Ralf and Pearl Shelton of Fiona, TX. Kyle graduated from Fiona High School in 1974 and went immediately to Oral Roberts University in Tulsa where he earned his bachelors degree in 'Organizational and Interpersonal Communications' in 1978. While attending ORU, he met and fell in love with Denise and they married shortly after graduation. The couple lived in Tulsa for several years and was ultimately blessed with the birth of their son Derek Hunter Shelton. After their divorce, Kyle purchased Entre' Computer Center where he met and married Cassandra. During their marriage, they converted Entre' Computer Center into a thriving computer training center called AutoExec Microcomputer Center. Kyle believed strongly in the idea that we should "Use things, and love people". He joined the Tulsa Auxiliary Police Department in 1983 and worked hard to give back to his community. He was an active member for several years. Everyone who knew Kyle was ultimately blessed by his kind advice and help, whether monetary or physical. He is survived by: his son, Derek Hunter Shelton; a sister, Tammy Kaye; and his fiancée Marla Cable. He will be greatly missed by all. Service is scheduled at 12:30 p.m., Thursday, March 20, 2008 at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel, 6500 S. 129th E. Ave. Broken Arrow, OK 74012. 918-252-2518. Derek, I was saddened to hear of the loss of your daddy. Kyle was a classmate and friend growing up. My parents (Dub & Dorothy) and Ralph & Pearl were the best of friends. I have heard what a fine young man you are and I know your daddy was very proud of you. Keep your face to the sun. Warmly, Teresa Ingram McCoy

Kyle,

You are one the most compasionate people I've ever met in my life. You have done so much to help others at the expense of yourself. You truly know what self sacrifice is. You will be dearly missed by all that have ever known you. May you rest in peace.

And this message is for you Kyle, when we met you flattered me so. You were a gift on earth. Sorry you hurt for so long. And now you are a gift in heaven. Now your wings can soar! So long for now, always forever in the hearts you touched. Linda (fka Villarreal)

Only met him one time through my sister Lori Sue Huffman. Which was over 15 years ago but he was a gentle man, he met my boys and gave them both a sheriffs badge and treated us with such kindness. My youngest son Christopher (18) now even remembered him. It was a blessing to have met him. Sorry for your loss. And grateful that he is at peace now. God Bless to all.

I have known Kyle all my life. We grew up together in Friona, Tx and our families attended the same chruch. We graduated high school together and were the best of friends, and remained so afterwards. As happens in life, you go your own way and I had not talked to Kyle in several years. I just found out about his passing today, but my childhood memories of him will live on. He was my childhood best friend.

Kyle, thank you so very much for loving my family, Marla, Alissa, Dakota, and Mason. All of us will truly miss you and always remember your big heart of gold, your smile and your jokes. You where "one in a million". Always giving never receiving, an awesome sense of humor, not everyone would understand. A man who was always a phone call away when you needed him. A man of great honor, pride and integrity. I love you, Your Jazzi.
