He is survived and forever loved by his wife Susan (Janssen), children Anna Waldvogel (Fritz), Daniel and Nicholas Hoeffel, parents Bruce and Marcia Hoeffel, brother Thomas (Cathy) Hoeffel, sister Kathryn (Jeff) Cornella, father and mother in-law James and Louise Janssen, brother and sister in-laws Steve (Melissa) Janssen, Gregg Janssen, Katy (Joe) Harris, many nieces, nephews and his beloved labrador Louie. Preceded in death by nieces Caitlyn Janssen and Shannon Harris. Born in Rochester, N.Y., David is a graduate of White Bear Mariner High School and the University of St. Thomas. David was a passionate husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. His zest for life and words of wisdom were contagious to all those who he touched. He was always happiest at his cabin on Trout Lake. David's unconditional devotion to his Catholic faith was apparent throughout his entire personal and professional career. David was a successful and dedicated entrepreneur who created several businesses most recently as President of Trinity3 Technology. Visitation 3-7 PM Thursday, June 28 at O'Halloran & Murphy Funeral Home (575 S. Snelling Ave, St. Paul 651-698-0796). Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM Friday, June 29 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church (1154 Seminole Ave, West St. Paul, MN 55118). In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to The Shannon Open, University of Minnesota Masonic Cancer Center, and St. Joseph's Catholic School.

I am saddened to hear of the passing of Dave. He was a client of mine a long time ago at The Barbers (now City Looks ) in Roseville, along with brother Tom. I remember him as having a great sense of humor and passion for life! I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers through this difficult time.

So sorry to hear about Dave's passing, but so happy for him not to have to fight the awful battle against cancer anymore. We knew Dave from Eagan Hockey days when he was the team manager for Danny's team. He was always friendly, happy, and did an incredible job of managing and you could tell he really loved his kids. Congratulations Dave for a life well lived. The entire family is in our thoughts and prayers.
