Words can not express, how sad I am to here of the loss of such a great person. Working with Hillel for about 5 years was such a grest joy and I will truly miss him. My prayers continue to flow for the Rakas family.

I'm so sorry to hear this. Hillel was so helpful to me when I was conducting my dissertation research at PRC - always friendly, always supportive. He was a good person and the world is a little sadder with him gone. My sincere condolences to his family.

Our thoughts are with Hillel's family at this time. So many years ago at Macalester he was a close friend and companion of a small group of us who bonded strongly and became good friends. Such friendships do not end when apart and we thought of "H" often and wished him well in his adventures. Many memories remain with us and it will be his radiant smile that lingers in our hearts. Take care and know there are many lives Hillel touched in his time with us.

All who knew Hillel are deeply saddened by his loss. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family. He was a leader and dedicated supporter of Maryland's offender reentry efforts--and one of my chief trainers on the work release role at Pre-Release and Reentry Services. He was always sage in his advice, generous with his time and inspiring in his devotion to the cause. He will be deeply missed for his humanity, his wisdom and leadership in this field, and also...remembered.

My heart felt condolences and prayers goes out to Ms. Anna, Shoshana, Gabriel, Ezra, and family. Hillel was a teacher, friend, and model professional. He was very proud of his children and loved sharing their accomplisments. I will miss him dearly.

I was absolutely stunned and saddened to learn of Hillel's passing. Although it has been many years since I last saw him, I have very fond memories of my youthful friendship with him and our many hours of playing basketball in his parents' driveway.
