We were so sad to hear of Jim's passing. He was always there with a smile on his face and made everyone feel so special. We will always cherish the memory of Jim performing our wedding at St. Peter. He made that day such a wonderful and memorable one for us. You were blessed to have such a wonderful man in your life. Keep the memories and stories of him alive.

Dear Hepp Family,
I am very sorry for your loss. Jim is a man who touched many lives at the Church of St. Peter. In times of trouble he would be there for that hug or he would know just what to say. I always remembered his leadership during my daughter's first communion many years ago. His homilies were of the heart. Jim was a man of deep faith, who will be missed by many. May the peace of Jesus be with you.

My sincere sympathy to all the Hepp family. I grew up in Jackson and went to school with Jim. He worked in my father's grocery store when he was in High School and we were really good friends. He came to Jackson when my father passed away and presided at the mass and gave the eulogy. He was a very special person and I am sure he was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather - I am so sorry for your loss.

Dear Hepp Family,

My deepest sympathies. I just found this obituary on line. I think of Mr. Hepp every winter. He made the best neighborhood ice rinks and I didn't realize all the hard work he put into making those perfect. I will never forget sitting on the bench by the lake with him and he listened to every word I said. I also remember the time my brother Todd dislocated his knee on the ice and Jim was there to help. He was a great neighbor and I will remember him fondly.

You are in my heart, thoughts and prayers.

Jane, when I was your neighbor I had many wonderful conversations with Jim. I especially liked to hear him speak about his involvement and the miracles that took place during the restoration of the Cathedral dome. I found him compassionate, caring and we laughed a lot together. I will always be grateful to him for making the time to mow my lawn and shovel my drive way when I was away at work. Jim was a good guy and I was blessed to have known him. I am praying for your comfort during this time of sorrow.

My husband Tim and I worked with Jim at 3M. He was a very dear friend during our years at 3M. Shared many stories about our career's at 3M.
I was so excited when he brought back some olive oil from one of his Italy trips.

We're so sad to read he was taken from us at such a young age.

To the Hepp family, I knew Jim through 3M as he coordinated many of our Dept. moves in Bldg. 21/42. He was a good and easy man to work with and ensured that the move went smothly and on-time. I remember us talking about his upcoming retirement and his excitement of looking forward to the his role on managing the rennovation of the St. Paul Cathederal.

Dear Jane and family,
We are so sorry for your great loss. We could never have made it through our daughters cancer surgery had it not been for his perfect timing in getting off the elevator just as I was telling her that she had cancer. She was crying so hard and I will never forget his words to her and the scripture he quoted that put her at peace.
Yes, he helped me with many things when I was a Coordinator at St. Peters. Always when asked for help, he would smile and say "Yes" Please find some peace in the words of St. Aloysius Gonzaga who wrote a letter to his mother on the day of his death. "Do not mourn me as though dead, for my face will behold the face of God every day.My prayers for you will bring you and your troubles more powerful aid than they ever could on earth."
All our love and prayers to you at this time.
Renee and Harry Sonnek and family.

My love, deepest sympathy, thoughts, and prayers are with you all. Jim was such a marvelous, awesome man of deep faith, great love, wisdom, encouragement, hope and joy. May God wrap you in His loving arms and give you hope and peace, your family and friends give you strength, and your many wonderful memories give you comfort. May his soul, with all the faithful departed, rest in peace forever.
