1932 - 2014

Of Eagan Passed away May 23, 2014 Born in Tacoma, WA on Oct. 1, 1932. Preceded in death by first wife, Lois; son, Michael; father, Louis; mother, Laura; and 12 brothers and sisters. Jim served in the Air Force in the Korean War, and was a very proud American. Jim proudly worked for 40 years with the Coca-Cola Company, working his way up from a bottle washer to the position of Corporate Director of Cold Drink for the U.S. when he retired in 1995. He was a loving father, grandfather and husband, and will be missed and remembered by all he touched. Survived by wife, Shirley; son, Greg and daughter-in-law, Mary; granddaughter, Rachel; and grandsons, Jacob and Alex. Very special thanks to all his doctors and caregivers over the past few years, especially to the Cerenity Senior Care staff that made his last days very comfortable. Jim will be remembered for his integrity, honesty, sense of humor and commitment and passion for everything he did. His main passion was his family and friends. At times he was tough on the exterior, but once you got inside, he was a very soft, compassionate and caring person, one that would do anything for those close to him. Memorial Mass 10:30AM Thursday, May 29th at the CHURCH OF ST. JOHN NEUMANN, 4030 Pilot Knob Rd. @ Deerwood Drive in Eagan. Gathering Wednesday, 4-8 PM, May 28th at J.S. KLECATSKY & SONS FUNERAL HOME (651-454-9488), 1580 Century Pt. (Yankee Doodle @ Coachman) in Eagan and also 1 hour prior to the Mass at church on Thursday. Private inurnment at Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis. Family requests that memorials be sent to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.
