Jeffrey BEISSEL Obituary

Age 68, of Mendota Heights, died on June 8, 2021. Preceded in death by his parents, Jack and RoseMary Beissel; and his brother Josh Beissel. Survived by wife Mary; children Jordan (Dr. Veena Iyer), Dr. Joy (Dr. Kaveesh Maharaj) and Jeffrey Christopher (Sara Woodworth); grandson Milo Avi Jeffrey Maharaj; sister Kathryn (Dr. Petr) Ruzicka; sister-in-law Kim Beissel; nieces, nephews, their spouses and children; and the Beissel, Peichel, Mortinson, and Thomas families.
Jeff was devoted to his children and their education. He was exceedingly proud that they attended St. Thomas Academy, Convent of the Visitation, Boston College, Notre Dame, Stanford, Northwestern, and the Mayo Clinic Residency Program. He enjoyed visiting the kids for football games and campus events. He was a graduate of St. Thomas Academy, '70; University of Minnesota, '74; and Creighton University School of Law, '77. Jeff also loved to travel the world with his family.
Jeff was the owner of Beissel Window and Siding and Beissel Renovation (Kitchen and Bath). Being an entrepreneur and businessman gave him constant joy as he grew the family business started by his father in 1950. Jeff treasured his many friends in the business world, the STA and Vis communities, the employees at Beissel, his Mary Kay girlfriends of 40 years, in-laws and especially out-laws, and many other beloved family and friends.
A special thanks to the staff at Mayo and Health East Home Hospice.

I have such fond memories of parties at Jeff's house in the 1960's. Him and his parents were always gracious hosts and the discussions were lively and centered mostly on politics and colleges. I always knew I could share my inner thoughts with Jeff and that he would hold them in confidence and provide crucial input. He was a special man and I hope to see him again in the presence of the Lord. God bless to his family. He was a truly good man!!!

I was reviewing my STA year book and came across a note about Jeff inside the cover. It epitomizes what Jeff stood for. Quoting Pericles-what you leave behind is not what is engraved in stone, but what is woven into the lives of others. That is the impact of Jeff. I know the good Lord will hold in the palm of his hand a good man like Jeff.

I will never forget Jeff's kindness and selflessness. He took interest in everyone around him and genuinely cared for others. He could hold a conversation about any topic with open mind and curiousity. He helped me personally and professionally and opened his home for me. I am lucky to have known him and grateful for his friendship. My heart felt condoleneces go out to his family. May God strengthen his loved ones as they endure this challenging time.

My sincere condolences to Mary and the family. Jeff was a wonderful friend and client. I always looked forward to our monthly appointments. We would talk about his family (his pride and joy) local politics, business and his many travels. Jeff was a good listener, because I love to talk and discuss my views on so many topics. I'll miss Jeff, he was a good, kind and caring man. Rest in peace my friend.
