Philip KNEISL Obituary

August 5, 1932 – April 23, 2020 Our family lost an unforgettable man, father, grandfather and friend. Embraced in Jesus' arms, Philip peacefully passed away on April 23, 2020. His generosity to others leaves an inspiring legacy. He prioritized his faith, family and friends and loved more than anything spending time with his 4 children, 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Frank & Ada, loving wife Dorine, of 54 years and son Steven. He is survived by his children Greg (Cindy) Kneisl, Debra Rogers, Susan King, Lisa (Grant) Bjornberg, brother Roger (Paula) Kneisl, sister-in-law Patty (Dennis) Barbaro, and sisters-in-law Sharon and Reta Blanchette, and many nieces and nephews. Philip served as a Navy lithographer in Pearl Harbor. He worked at John Roberts Printing for 24 years then retired from the St. Paul Pioneer Press. Philip's love for life was impeccable. Not so much for his joke telling but his infectious laugh and quirky expressions that made all who knew him and those who did not know him well, "LAUGH"! He was an avid Minnesota sports fan. His wish to everyone is to live and love each moment of the days ahead. Philip will be dearly missed by his family and friends. The Funeral service will be by invitation only due to COVID restrictions on Friday, August 28th, 2020 at 10:45 am at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, 8260 4th St. N., Oakdale. Dad, the days are not getting easier, everyday I cry but at night it´s the hardest, after everyone goes to sleep. I miss all you daily phone calls whether if it was to ask me a computer tech problem or a cooking question. But the ones I miss the most are the ones when you called me because I was on your mind and you were checking to see how I was doing. I miss your voice and our laughs. I loved making you laugh. The power of laughter cures the soul, it feels good, and that´s why I loved is to hear you laugh, cuz I knew I brightened your day. Your spirit thru a beautiful red cardinal was sitting on a branch just staring at me. I knew it was you because the closer I got to the patio doors didn´t scare you away. Thanks for checking in on me, I immediately went out that day to get more cardinal seeds and I promise you I will keep the bird feeder full it´s not my home cooked meals I used to bring over but it works. Oh I miss cooking for you, you enjoyed it and complimented me on the meals and even critiqued me on a few, lol, I find now that I have a lot of wasted, since your not here to eat them. Oh I know you didn´t like wasting food. Dad I miss you beyond words, I feel like I have so much to say so I hope you and mom listen to me everyday and guide me thru all the BS in today´s world. Love you to the heavens and back, I know you said "I love you too, Sweetie as you always said to me. Your loving daughter Susie
