William LINDBLADE Obituary

Age 81 Passed away on August 24, 2021, with his wife of 60 years and three daughters by his side. Bill is survived by his wife Dorothy "Dottie"; daughters, Connie Ferguson (Brian), Susie Lindblade (Grant), and Jennifer Kim (Paul, d.); sister Valerie Johnson (David); brother Glenn Lindblade; and his six grandchildren and niece. Bill was a proud Eagan resident for nearly 60 years. Dedicating his time as an Eagan Volunteer Firefighter for 20 years, he served the department during the early years, eventually becoming Eagan District Fire Chief.Bill had an entrepreneurial spirit as well and owned several businesses including Lindblade Appraisals, B&B Marine, P. A. Delivery and even a bar/restaurant back in the day. He enjoyed his memberships to the Eagan Lions Club, the Minnesota Water Garden Society and several bowling leagues. Bill was also very proud of the Japanese Garden that he and Dottie created and loved showing to tour groups during the summer. But his favorite pastime was fishing with his buddies up north and in Canada and spending time with his family at their cabin in Fifty Lakes, MN. Bill truly loved his family and friends and lived his life to the fullest.
