I had the pleasure of knowing Brian Townsend through a previous marriage into the family. When I was informed of his passing it broke my hear as I know he had a love for life and loved to entertain and enjoy the company of family and friends. Brian I learned about your passing and laid awake many nights upset about the loss of a great person, father, and husband. Please understand this life is short and you are in a better place than this earth. You have always been kind and generous to me in the time I have known you. My deepest condolences condolences as I have learned of this devastating passing late in the game. Your wife and children adored you in my opinion. We will all see you again.

Our deepest condolences to you Audrey and family. Brian was an amazing guy that I had the pleasure to work with at Cabletron through the mid to late 90s and at Net to Net Tech in the early 2000s. He was the best with customers and always stood up to the biggest challenges thrown at him. He was compassionate and generous. He would go out of his way to help others. I hadn't spoken to Brian recently, but I followed the updates that he regularly posted on LinkedIn.
He will be missed.

My sincere condolences to Brians Family, Friends and Colleagues.

Brian was amazing to work with! Countless times he would help us to look like a hero to our customers and help as they would be migrating from older to newer technologies- he had a trove of legacy gear to help our customers thru the migration process! Making myself and the sales teams I supported look amazing! Brian was the true Hero!
Be it Gartner Peer Insights Campaigns or GTAC related challenges- Brian was always there to get us to a positive outcome!
Brian helped to make those around him better! Some people are good- some are Great- but Brian was beyond exceptional!
Gone too soon and will be missed! If God has a GTAC- surely Brian is on his team!

We never would have felt ready to say good-bye to someone as special as Brian, but this timing feels especially tough. Wishing your family comfort and strength for the days and weeks ahead. We´ll be praying for all of you.

It´s hard to lose someone who meant so much to all of us, and even harder that we can´t all be together to say good-bye. We want you to know we´re with you in spirit-now and in the days and weeks ahead.

We are deeply sorry your family is experiencing the pain of a loss like this.

My heart goes out to the family and friends of my good friend. I will always remember Brian´s sense of humor, positivity, kindness. I will miss him sharing his experiences at Brazilian barbecue restaurants, which he proudly called "Churrascaria" and even giving me tips to try to avoid the eating the "pão de queijo" (cheese bread) they usually serve before they bring the meat. Thank you for the wonderful memories. I will miss you my friend. To the family and friends, my sincere heartfelt condolences

Very sorry to hear of the passing of Brian. My condolences to all of his friends and his family. I knew Brian from my time at Enterasys/ Extreme and even though my tenure ended there over 10 years ago we stayed in touch and remained friends. He was outstanding at his job and was really a great all around person. I will miss getting his great analysis of the Cowboys. He knew more about the Cowboys than amy sportswriter or tv commentator. Thankful to have been a friend for many years.
Rest in peace.

My deepest condolences to the family and friends during this time.

Working along side Brian over the last many years has always been interesting: from the trips to Raleigh, NC where waitresses would spill drinks on Brian (and the comedy that ensued after) to the cold meetings during winter in Salem, NH. where Brian would graciously help a California girl (no snow experience) walk from the building to the car without getting seriously injured. You will be missed dearly..

Colleagues who became friends, an integral part of a close group of coworkers who formed lifelong bonds. Brian always had a great perspective of things and a great way of explaining how he arrived at his perspective. I valued his opinion and always appreciated our discussions. My condolences to Audrey and the rest of his family.

Condolences to Brian´s family and friends. Brian and I became friends early at Enterasys/Extreme. He was a great asset to the company he loved and the people working there. Brian had your back! He cheered your success! I will miss joking with him about the Cowboys and catching up with him on our occasional calls and text. Brian had a character that truly was inspiring and his devotion to the Derry Boys and Girls club will forever remain legendary! I will miss Brian but am so lucky to have known him.

My thoughts and prayers for all of Brian´s family, I have so many fond memories of Brian during the years I worked at Cabletron, Entersys, and Extreme.
I will always remember how he got my grandson to smile at the Patriots- Jets game in NJ and how he made my retirement extra special

I am saddened that I cannot be at any of his services, being I will be leading a camping - hiking trip with many young men studying for the priesthood

Much love to all

Prior to retirement, I worked with and for Brian for many years. For work related reasons, we spoke daily. Often those conversations would lead to discussions about life, kids, and family.

Following my retirement, I knew there would be things about work that I would miss, just not sure exactly what. It turned about to be those conversations with Brian. I shared this with Brian, and I am glad to that he knew what those talks meant to me.

He was a good friend, and better person. We will miss you Brian, thank you for everything.
