Emily Chalogias Obituary

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Emily Delight Chalogias, 96, at Community Hospice House on August 14, 2025, following a brief illness. She was the daughter of late Ella D. (Sawtell) and Clarence H. Rogler. She grew up in Goffstown NH and graduated from Goffstown High School.

Emily enjoyed spending time with her family and friends as well as day trips to NH's mountains, beaches, and lakes, local festivals, shopping, dining out, and knitting. She carried empathy throughout her life and was known for the kindness she showed others. Emily formed lifelong friendships during her career at New Hampshire Insurance Group and New Hampshire College, and she retired after more than 20 years with Amica Insurance. She also made many lasting friendships at her Varney Street residence.

Emily attracted friends wherever she went, at every stage of her life. She will be remembered for her unique personality, quick wit, independent nature, and the deep love she had for her family and friends. Spending time with those she cared for was her greatest joy.

She often spoke fondly of her time in Waner, NH. With her family - especially her cousins- and of walking long distances through Goffstown to reach school, work, and friends.

Emily is preceded in death by parents Ella and Clarence Rogler, husband James J. Chalogias, her brothers William Rogler and Thomas Rogler, her sister Anna Williams; her niece in-law Judy Tarr and her grandnephew James "Jimmy" Tarr. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Lena Rogler, her beloved nieces and nephews, Susan (Kevin) Decker, William (Wendy) Rogler, Patricia (Daniel) Boyce, Lynn (Eric) Publicover, James Tarr, Wendy (Chris) Morris, and Holly (Mark) Walsh; as well as her cherished grand-nieces and nephews Jonathan Fosher, Kayla Wilhelmy, Kody Boyce, Sarah Raymond, and Heather Preston. She also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

Emily's memory will be treasured, and she leaves behind a legacy of love. In accordance with her wishes, the family will respect Emily's desire for privacy and will not be holding services.
