Janice Mary Dunn

Janice Mary Dunn, 89, of Manchester, NH, died February 22, 2026, at her home, surrounded by the love of her family, following a period of declining health.

Born in Manchester to the late Michael F. and Nora M. (Fitzgerald) Haley, she was a lifelong resident of the Queen City. In 1958, she married Robert Dunn, and together they shared more than six decades of devoted marriage until his passing in 2022.

A graduate of St. Joseph High School, Janice worked for New England Telephone as a directory assistance operator. She embraced life's simple pleasures, playing tennis, taking long walks, relaxing at the beach, reading by the pool, traveling, and especially enjoying lunches with "the girls," friendships she treasured deeply.

A loyal and enthusiastic fan of the Boston Celtics, she proudly cheered for favorites Gerald Henderson and Jaylen Brown.

Janice will be remembered for her genuine warmth and sincere curiosity about others. She had a remarkable way of making people feel seen and valued, often affectionately calling those she admired a "peach." Her kindness, gentle spirit, and unwavering positivity left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

She was married to her beloved husband of sixty-six years, Robert E. Dunn. He died June 28, 2022. She was also predeceased by her brother, Michael; her aunts, Ella and Margaret; and her granddaughter, Shayla.

Family members include three sons, Michael Dunn of Manchester, Martin Dunn of Manchester, and Matthew Dunn of Hooksett; her cherished grandson, Tyler Dunn of Manchester; along with extended family and many dear friends who will miss her deeply.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate caregivers of Pathways Healthcare, whose exceptional care and kindness provided comfort during Janice's final months, and especially in her last days.

Services: Calling hours will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026, from 4 to 6 PM at Connor-Healy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 537 Union Street, Manchester, NH 03104.

Burial will take place at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH, at a later date.
