Jeremy Poirier Obituary
Jeremy did not succumb to the challenges of addiction but was still taken from us far before his time. He had amazing potential and dreams as big as his heart, and his memory will live on through the many lives he touched. He had hoped to soon marry the love of his life Krystal and to one day become a father.
He attended Goffstown High School and later received his HiSET equivalency. His genuine care for others led him to take classes to become a recovery coach to assist addicts in crisis situations and to help others overcome the struggles of addition. Those who had the privilege of knowing Jeremy will remember a kind, compassionate, strong willed and loyal friend to all. He had a big smile and even bigger heart and would truly do anything for the people that he loved.
In his free time, Jeremy loved extreme sports, especially biking, skateboarding, and snowboarding, as he would happily spend every waking hour on Pats Peak if he could. He also had a HIGH affinity for growing plants and herbs, and was a true green thumb and spirited herbologist. He also recently travelled out west to Idaho and fell in love with mining, a passion he shared with his fiancé Krystal. Above all else, Jeremy loved being with the people he loved, and he will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
Jeremy is survived by his fiancé Krystal Gilcreast; grammy Shirley Odesse; mother-in-law Patricia Gilcreast; father-in-law Francis W. Gilcreast Jr.; mother Elizabeth Clement; father Brian Poirier' brothers Jon & Nathan Poirier; brothers-in-law Francis W. Gilcreast III & Trevor Gilcreast; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.
A celebration of Jeremy's life will be held on Friday, December 17th from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM, with a service beginning at 7:00 PM at the Cremation Society of NH, 243 Hanover St. Manchester, NH.
In lieu of flowers, please bring a houseplant as a representation of Jeremy's vibrant spirit. Donations can be made to any recovery foundation of your choosing.
