Joshua Long Obituary
Josh's quick wit and charm helped forge many friendships -- his first being his brother, Jason. When Josh and Randi settled in Deerfield to raise their two sons, they deeply bonded with the neighborhood crew. Josh was an avid hiker, hiking all 48 of N.H.'s 4,000 footers, as well as a talented musician. He accumulated a wide array of instruments, which were used during weekly music nights in his barn. Josh took great pride in cultivating his woodpile each year.
He is survived by his wife, Randi (Taylor) Long, his children, whom he loved immensely, Sam and Wyatt, his loving parents, Tony and Susan Long, his brother, Jason, and wife, Shannon, as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many cherished friends.
An open house memorial will be held Jan. 4, from 1-4p.m. at Brewitt Funeral Home in Raymond, with a celebration of life to follow immediately after. Donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America at mymsaa.org.

I was fortunate to know Josh through work, our paths crossed often as we sat near each other. Josh and I often chatted about hiking, a few years ago I started the 48 4,000 footers and we´d chat about his experiences and what I was thinking next. We said hello in passing when back on site and he often would stop to connect. He made an impact on so many around him. Sending prayers to his family and friends, he will be missed.

I had the pleasure of working with Josh at Fidelity. He was always a light for all of us - so fun, funny, hardworking and genuine. We shared so many laughs and moments as a team. Randi and family- I had the privilege of working with Josh for over 7 years and I could not have asked for a better coworker or friend. Josh was one of the most selfless people I have ever met and I am so sorry for your loss. Josh could talk about anything, to anyone, at anytime and I have never laughed as as hard as when Josh would be telling a story. Both inside and outside of work, Josh was a fantastic person and I am honored to have known him for the past 7 years.

I am so sad to hear of Josh's passing. Though we had fallen out of touch over the years, he was a dear friend in our college years. Josh was warm, sensitive, kind and so funny! He brought light and laughter to almost any situation. I have so many great memories of Josh and will always remember him fondly. As Josh and I had a common interest in music it was often the topic of discussion in expense of work and we'd occasionally talk about collaborating. Randi, I am truly sorry for your loss. I was fortunate enough to work with Josh for over four years. His personality was unique...kind, funny, interesting and engaging. I truly loved the conversations we had...some serious, some hilarious, but mostly all of these interactions left me thinking about how much I enjoyed engaging with Josh. Randi I am sorry for you and the boys loss. Josh was a great friend and a man with a heart larger than life. One of the kindest humans this world has ever seen. Memories start with a Halloween party I will never forget. Josh will be missed by many and his soul will forever be one never forgotten. An amazing person and a forever bright light to shine on all he touched.
