Lee just told me about Paul’s passing. Very sorry to hear about it- he was always the life of the party on our camping trips. I remember being really impressed that he would actually swing on the swing sets at the campgrounds. I mean, when you’re a kid and you see an adult do that, it leaves an impression, and that is my Kodak moment of Paul Winkler. T’any rate I hope you are all doing well otherwise, and I know I’m fairly late in getting the news but wanted to let you all
know what a meaningful guys he was and all of you are. Lee and I were just saying that the mark of a life well led might just be the friends you collect along the way, and Mom and Dad really had some great friends. We have you guys popping up on our slide shows and videos throughout our childhood.

Dear Jackie,
My condolences on Paul's passing. I will always carry the fond memories of singing with him at Holy Cross church and at all the senior facilities around Vero Beach. He put smiles on so many faces especially during the Covid years. My prayers are with you and your family at this time.

Dear Jackie, Craig and I are so sorry to hear of your loss. You and Paul's decision to make Wakefield your retirement home was the best gift our community could have ever received. In so many ways, large and small, your contributions have enriched Wakefield forever. Paul was funny, and kind, and generous, and an all around wonderful person. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Craig & Mary Heartquist

My late father was Russell Pond of Nashua, I´m quite certain he knew my father for many years. I´m certain they worked together on social justice issues. Paul´s name and smile are so familiar to me. My mom is still with me, she is Mary Jo Pond and she thinks she remembers him.

Please accept our deepest condolences for the death of Paul.

Thank you for your call this morning Jackie. We are so sorry that such an incredibly loving, giving, and quick witted friend has passed. His always brought some sunshine those around him.You never quite knew what he'd say with that twinkle in his eyes! May he jump joyfully from cloud to cloud and bring endless smiles to those he has joined up above. Much love to the family. May you all heal gently.

Paul truly lite up the room when he walked in. His contributions to the Town with his participation in many will be forever remembered. Always enjoyed my conversations with him and could never outwit him lol. Makes me smile thinking of all his witty comments and the time we were in the Bearded Wonders singing. He told me he would never be in front of me when singing again. So sorry for your loss he was a great man.

We will never forget Paul.
We worked together on many Wakefield projects including the Wakefield Opera House restoration.
And how he could sing!!
He was dedicated to his dear wife Jackie.
I was part of the Leon’s coffee group for many years and always enjoyed his pleasant company across the community.
We will never forget him.
Rest in peace Paul❤
