Simone V. Simard

Simone V. Simard, 83, died in Temple, Texas, December 29, 2021, after a period of declining health.

She lived in Manchester for most of her life before moving to Londonderry, where she lived for 14 years.

Simone enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed shopping, coloring, knitting.

Both she and her husband volunteered at the Londonderry Fire Station Open House for 15 years until her husband died. She volunteered with the Red Cross making meals for firefighters. She also served as a Den Mother for Pack 115 at Blessed Sacrament when her kids were younger.

Simone retired from Building 19 where she was a salesperson and cashier. She also worked for many years for Sweet Heart Plastic as a packer.

She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years and seven months, Robert O. Simard Sr.; parents Ernest Tanguay Sr. and wife Aurora (Gagon) Tanguay; a sister, Susan Clinton; brothers Ernest Tanguay Jr., Donald Tanguay, Richard Tanguay, Russel Tanguay and Roger Tanguay.

She is survived by her nine children, Robert O. Simard, Jr. of Pinon Hills, CA., Joanne Dudley and her husband, James T. Jr., of Temple, Texas, Sandra Bourget of Concord, N.H., Marie Knoetig and her husband, Greg, of Hooksett N.H., David Simard and his wife, Deborah, of Manchester, N.H., Janet Dupras of Manchester, N.H., Gerry Simard and his wife, Margie, of North Augusta, S.C., Donald Simard and his wife, Christine, of Pinon Hills, CA., and Steve Simard and his wife, Sharon, of Walpole, N.H.; 14 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Gerard Tanguay and wife Priscilla of Manchester, N.H., Norman Tanguay and wife Diane of Manchester, N.H., Lorraine Bellemore of Merrimack, N.H., Vivian Blondeau and husband Ray of Goffstown, N.H.; many cousins, nieces and nephews.

SERVICES: Rosary is 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 5th, Mass of Christian Burial is Wednesday, April 6th, both at St. Jude's Catholic Church Londonderry, N.H. Simone and Robert Sr. will be entombed together at St. Agustine's Cemetery following the funeral Mass for Simone.
