CABLE – Charles "Charlie" Crabtree, 80, of Cable, Ohio passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2022 in the Springfield Regional Medical Center.
Charlie was born November 30, 1941 in Louisa, Kentucky the son of Charles and Cora Crabtree.
Charlie is survived by his wife of 45 years, Rebecca Crabtree; children, Chuck (Debbie) Crabtree and Cory (Nicki) Crabtree; grandchildren, Brittany, Taylor, Paul Alyssa, Jamie (Drew) Petry, Shannon (Mike) Smith, Faith and Zack Szczepinski; great-grandchildren, Jaxson Smith, Karolina Petry and Kensley, Nash & Archie Szczepinski; daughter-in-law, Lisa Mayer; brothers, Harold (Ruthanne) Crabtree and Lowell (Yvonne) Crabtree; sisters-in-law, Patsy Chamberlain and Mary Lou Ehrie; nieces and nephews, Eugene Glaze, Mike (Jodie) Chamberlain, Mike & Keith Glaze, Jackie Crabtree, Todd (Terri) Ehrie, Mark (Krista) Vanhorn, Heather (Jon) Peters and Melissa (Ira) Sansolo.
He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Christopher Crabtree; siblings, Jack and Katherine Glaze and father and mother-in-law, Pearl and Edna Fannon.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 16, 2022 in VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Urbana, Ohio. Funeral service will follow at noon in the funeral home with Pastor Mimi Ault officiating.
Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in Charlie's memory to the National Kidney Foundation, 1491 Polaris Pkwy, #268, Columbus, OH 43240.

Becky and all Charlie's family, I am so sorry for your loss. I know your heart is filled with pain right now but time will heal and all the good memories will give you strength in the months to come.
I will always remember Charlie as a very kind and caring person. He was so down to earth and I appreciated that about him.
