Jacqueline Fabbio Obituary

Jacqueline A. "Jackie" (Beratta) Fabbio 1946 - 2018
UTICA/WHITESBORO, NY - Jacqueline A. "Jackie" (Beratta) Fabbio, age 71, passed unexpectedly in the comfort of her home on Sunday, March 18, 2018. It was evident to her family that her crossing over was peaceful.
Born in Utica on August 1, 1946, Jacqueline was the daughter of the late Frank R. and Katherine R. (Seppi) Beratta. She was a graduate of T.R. Proctor High School/Class of 1965.
Jackie worked as a salesperson at Boutique India and Boutique Junction at Sangertown Mall. She later was employed at the PAR Technology Corporation as a Group Leader, the position from which she retired. Jackie was a selfless woman, always putting the needs of others first, with grace and good will. She was quick-witted, humorous, and loved by many. People were drawn to her unassuming kindness during all phases of her life. She was currently living in Whitesboro and enjoyed the company of her fellow tenants in the apartment complex. She had natural talents in both cooking and baking and shared her cuisine and confections with visitors who dropped in through her open-door, no-knock policy. All were welcome. During better days, she hosted holidays with a bounty of her signature meals. As a mom, she guided her children and gave them the foundation to live life with good intentions and a clear conscience. When her grandchildren entered her life, she entered their hearts, and "No" meant "Yes" in gram's house!
Jackie occupied her days with reading, browsing through cook books, and watching television, especially nostalgic movies and sitcoms, that brought her back to earlier years. Although health complications presented themselves in her later years, she forged on and made the best of things,… because that was just Jackie. She was of the Catholic faith and honored the Lord in her heart. She accepted His will and abided by the proverbs of the Beatitudes.
Jacqueline is survived by her daughter, Michelle Fabbio and Frank Marino; her son, Richard "Rick" Fabbio and Colleen Conway; her grandchildren, Anthony Delguidice IV, Cinello "Chin" DeNigro; and Izabella Morse. She also leaves her sister, Carol Zdan and her late companion William J. "Bill" Homsany who recently passed away on March 12, 2018; her cousins, and her friends, Gloria and Steve Skowarn, Joni Miller, Marilyn LaBarbera, and Jackie Wolmack, great friends and good people who all mutually enjoyed one another.
The family extends appreciation to Dr. Sudershan Dang, Dr. Leo Sullivan, Dr. Hamid Moosavi, and Dr. Dayal Raja, and Josh at Empire Orthopedic for their medical expertise; the staff of Faxton Rehabilitation Services, Nancy at the RCIL, Carolyn/Nutritionist, Jackie's friends at New Hartford Senior Living, the New Hartford Police for their prompt response, and officer Scotty Adsit for the compassion and comfort he brought to Jackie's children.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial gathering in honor and commemoration of Jackie's life which will be held on Friday evening from 5:00-7:00 at the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc., 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 at the conclusion of visitation with Father Abe Esper officiating.
