James E. Toner
St. Cloud, FL
James E. Toner, our beloved father, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2012. He was born on March 22, 1947, in Utica, New York, son of the late James H. and Shirley M. (Webster) Toner. He grew up in upstate NY on Allen Road, town of Clayville, on his Mom and Dad's dairy farm, and attended Sauquoit Valley Central High School, graduating with the Class of 65. He went on to attend Pennsylvania State University for Agricultural Mechanics. He worked for Clayville Equipment, Springer & Sons in Richfield Springs, NY, and New Holland Equipment, Bakersfield, CA, as a New Holland Equipment Mechanic. He and his wife, Linda (Bryan), returned to Reading, PA, raising their four daughters. He was then employed as a semi-truck driver for Bachman Pretzels. He moved to Saint Cloud, FL, in 1983, with his wife, Donna (Weisser) Toner. He shared the last fourteen years of his life with Janie Furbee and her daughter of St. Cloud, FL. Prior to his retirement, he worked for Saint Cloud Texaco as a tow truck driver. He is survived by four daughters, Lisa Toner Hernandez, Karin Toner Garcia, Sherry Toner-Keith and Crystal Toner; 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, all of Reading, PA; three brothers, Thomas E. Toner, of Clayville, NY, Edward C. (Donna) Toner, of Crescent City, FL, and Robert P. Toner, of St. Cloud, FL; four sisters, Valerie Wheeler, of Bridgewater, NY, Mary L. Toner, of Holly Hill, FL, Jane E. Burton, of Kissimmee, FL, and Susan M. (Robert) Wrinn, of Titusville, FL; an aunt, Margaret Toner Scholl, of NC; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A celebration of his recent life took place at Fisk Funeral Home, St. Cloud, FL, on Monday, January 23, 2012.
