He had such a strong and positive influence on so many of us. I'm sure his personal influence on you was just as positive and powerful. I know you'll have a multitude of rich memories. I send my love to the entire family during this time of grief. Your father touched all of your lives in the most positive manner that it shows in each of you as adults. I know you enjoyed family times together frequently. Cherish all of those moments and carry them within you forever. I send my prayers to you that you be enfolded by peace.

Rene, David/Lisa, John et al, Laughlin was an inspiration, mentor and wonderful sponsor to our family, (along with you too Rene!). I shall always remember his strong yet gentile leadership and guidance. As a fellow Naval Aviator I wish him 'fair winds and following Seas'
