Thomas Weber Obituary

Thomas A.
Weber
CO/UTICA
Tom Weber, 78, passed away unexpectedly on September 26, 2014, in Parachute, Colorado. He was born in Utica, NY, graduating from Utica Free Academy High School. Tom spent a tour of duty in the Navy, stationed in Oklahoma. He married Nora Cunningham in 1959, raising five children in Marcy, NY. The Weber family moved to Colorado in 1980, spending almost 20 years living and working in the Vail Valley before retiring to Parachute. Tom was a gifted carpenter and construction foreman. His craftsmanship is evident in the homes that he built in Marcy, NY, Hinckley, NY, and Parachute, CO, and it can be found in numerous buildings in Central NY and Vail Valley. Tom was also part of the construction crew that built the four-lane highway through Glenwood Canyon. He was always willing to share his time and skills with others, and after retirement, he often helped his children with their home improvement projects. In his later years, Tom enjoyed the companionship of Linda Cruz of Grand Junction. He enjoyed the social activities of the local Eagles club and was involved in many fund-raising endeavors. Tom loved his family and loved to play golf. He was fun-loving, easy-going, and a great listener. He is survived by his sister, Mary Barker; daughters, Sandi (Gerd) Hirschel-Weber, Diane (Scott) Buell, Linda Weber, and Ann (Dan) Tracy; son, Bill Weber; and ten grandchildren. Adhering to Toms principle of keep it simple and cheap, a time of remembrance will be held on Tuesday, September 30, 2014, at Eagle Aerie FOE 595 from 3-5 p.m. Friends are invited to share dinner with the family afterwards at the Eagle Aerie. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Toms memory to: Eagle Aerie FOE 595, 1674 US Highway 50, Grand Junction, CO 81503.

Dear Weber Family,
I'm so sorry for your loss. Your father was always real nice to me when Linda and I were dating way back when.I'll always remember his loud laughter as he sat in his recliner after a hard day of work watching tv ( as I sat memorized by watching Linda throw a steak in something called a microwave). I know this is a difficult time, but I hope everyone is doing well. Think about you guys quite often .
Take Care & God Bless,
John Mann
Linda ,
Don't know if you'll get this , but if you do, would you please call me.My number is 315-458-3137
Thanks,
John
