I met Elizabeth when she was first transplanted to the RGV. She had a couple of tickets for a show and extended an invitation to me. When she showed up at my house, while my mom was making tortillas, her eyes gazed at the yumminess stacked on the kitchen counter. She grabbed a couple of warm tortillas and stuffed them in her coat pocket. During the show, she pulled out her warm snacks and ate them. This is my favorite memory of you.
See you later, my wonderful sweet Elizabeth.
My condolences to her family and friends. - Maribel Fuentes

"tocaya", as she would call me, I will greatly miss our ocassional check-in texts, her ingenious ideas and piercing gaze. What a presence to be left unfilled in the lives of all who knew her. Praying for her extended family.

What can I say about this woman, the world is a sadder place for not having her in it. She was one if not the smartest person I knew, who truly cared for people and was so perceptive, loving, and a true public servant, not only was she my best boss, but our children are friends, and I am proud to have called her my friend, I am so glad she is no longer suffering the pain she suffered every day. Deepest condolences her to her mom, son, husband and friends and family living without her, I never met someone so tenacious, courageous, who never gave up! Dear God keep good care of her in heaven and pay extra special attention to her surviving family.
