HARLINGEN, TX.-
Michael Alfred Castillo, 29 of Harlingen, TX passed away Saturday, November 17, 2012.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother Felipa Castillo and his uncle Ernesto Lago Castillo.
Michael is survived by his wife Jenny Benavidez; daughters Natalie Castillo, Jenna Lozano and Kasana Castillo; parents Alfredo and Juanita Castillo; siblings Carla Castillo, Marco Castillo, Alfredo Castillo, Jr. and Lisa Castillo; nieces and nephews Jazeel, Emma Rose, Nicholas, Alyssa, Diego and Bianca; maternal grandparents Inez and Ana Moreno; paternal grandfather, Eleazar Castillo.
Michael leaves behind numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and many friends....all who adored him for his kind heart and charm. Please know that he unconditionally loved all of you in return.
Not only was Michael a great son, awesome brother, loving husband, wonderful and devoted father, and extraordinary friend, he was also an avid fisherman and hunter. Memories to last a lifetime will remain within all that shared in his adventurous fishing and hunting experiences; many of his experiences were greatly shared and enjoyed in the company of his father Alfredo, sister Carla and brother Marco. He will be missed immensely by all whose heart he touched.
Although no words can express the void that has been left in our hearts, one thing we know for certain is God's promise that one day we will see each other again.
We will carry you in our hearts forever ``Mikey". GO TEXANS!
Visitation for Michael will be held 9:00am-9:00pm Wednesday and Thursday, with a prayer service on Wednesday at 7:00pm in the Rudy Garza Funeral Home Chapel.
A Chapel service will be held 2:00pm Friday, November 23, 2012 in the Rudy Garza Funeral Home Chapel.
All services will conclude in the chapel.
Michael's family would like to give special thanks to UPS Harlingen Center and the VMLOA Car Club for the love, support and prayers bestowed upon them in their time of sorrow.

Mike, I miss you so much. There isn't a single day that i do not think about you. I cant say it has gotten easier because still to this day I cant believe that you are not here with us. You'd be so proud of the girls, they have your goofiness. Kasana is just this little you, that is always making everyone laugh. Every time i look at her I see you. Mike, I have missed you everyday since you've been gone. If someone told me when we first began dating that I would only have 6+ years with you, I would've laughed in their face. Never in a million years would I have believed I would have to live my life without you. That I would have to live out the plans we had for both of us, by myself. Only God knows how I've gone everyday with the strength I have to live without you. You are a constant reminder of the love we shared for each other and our own growing family. Your smile reminds me of the good times we had and the amazing person you were, inside and out. I fall asleep hoping to dream of you since I truly believe it is your spirit coming to me and living with me, one night at a time, in which I cherish deeply. No words will every begin to express the way my life has changed since I lost you, the person I was supposed to spend the rest of my life with, it is simply indescribable.
