Tony was my neighbor for many years, and our relationship grew into more of a friendship. I could always count on him no matter what, and I cherish the memories we had, especially when he would invite us over for holiday dinner. His honesty and sense of humor brought a euphoric joy to my life, no matter the challenges I happened to be facing at the time. His Christmas lawn decor was a legendary landmark of the neighborhood every year, and he was meticulously genius at his craft. We prayed for each other during the difficulties, and celebrated together during all the highs. I will miss you dearly, my friend.

My deepest sympathies to the Canales family. Tony was my supervisor for the State of Texas Meat Safety Program. Tony was very upbeat and had a positive attitude and always treated me very fairly as a team member. I have very good memories of working with Tony. May God bless you in your time of sorrow.
