Lorene Arnold Obituary

Lorene M. "Renee" Arnold, 90, passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Westminster Village, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Irvin M. "Pete" Arnold, who recently passed away in January. Born in South Whitehall Twp., she was the daughter of the late Evan and Lillie E. (Brown) Heinly.

Renee attended the United Methodist Women's School of Missions for 12 years, was very active supervising the Helping Hands Clothes Closet with Pete, as well as an integral part of the Florida United Methodist Children's Home and their fundraising events. She was past president of the U.M. Women and a member of the Wesley Church, Bethlehem. Also, she was affiliated with the Daughters of the American Revolution.

She is survived by daughters Susan Arnold Bowles and her husband John of West Chester, Shirley Arnold of Bath, Barbara Arnold McComb and her husband David of Whitewater, Wisconsin; sons Robert H. and his wife Sharon, William M. and his wife Deborah Appler; all of Bethlehem; 15 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son Richard S., brother Charles Heinly and sister Evelyn Phillips.

Services: 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 21 at Trexler Funeral Home, 1625 W. Highland St., Allentown. Calling will begin at 9:30 a.m. and burial will follow at Cedar Hill Memorial Park

Contributions can be made in memory of Renee to the Florida United Methodist Children's Home, c/o the funeral home.
