Gary Lee Olds died peacefully in his sleep at his home on Dec. 23, 2005. He had lived in Picayune, Miss., for the last eight years.
Gary was a mechanic in California for over 25 years before moving to Picayune.
He was born Feb. 9, 1944, in Longview, Wash., and was raised in Salem, Ore.
Gary was a member of the Ojai Valley Loyal Order of the Moose, Lodge No. 1417 in California since 1990 and served as a past-governor and fellow. He was a member of the American Legion in Seaside, Ore. Everyone who knew Gary enjoyed his kind and humorous nature. He will be dearly missed.
Gary is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Sutton-Olds; son, Tod Olds of San Francisco, Calif.; daughters, Tonya Olds of Sacramento, Calif., and Lisbeth Sutton of Picayune, Miss.; brother, Phillip Olds of West Jordan, Utah; sisters, Pennye Hart-Feringa of Gearhart, Ore, Theresa Olds and Marisa Corn of Aumsville, Ore. He had six grandchildren.
Gary was preceded in death by his son Troy Olds, and brother Greg Olds.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The Child City operated by Loyal Order of the Moose at Mooseheart, Ill.

Dear Jo Ann,
It broke my heart to hear of Gary's passing. I cryed and prayed for him and your family. Truly we will miss him. I think of you often, especially when I drive by your house. If you need to talk to a friend, I'm always there. My new number is 649-3788.

I am so sorry to hear about Gary. Although we never met, he was always kind and helpful to me in doing the Olds genealogy research and I was always grateful to him. I sincerely wish you the best over the next several weeks and wish you to know that many people are thinking of you.
