Barbara Semoes

Barbara Semoes Barbara Jean Semoes was born on March 27, 1932 in Bakersfield, California. She passed away on February 13, 2013 at the age of 80. Some of Barbara's favorite pastimes were going to Tachi Palace Casino, watching baseball and playing on the computer. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Jesse Semoes Jr. in 2009. They were married in 1950 and shared many happy years together. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, a sister, a step-sister and a step-brother. Survivors include three daughters Janette Sellars and husband Dow of Exeter, Marian Hickman and companion Thomas Treadaway Sr. of Visalia and Christine Vasquez and husband Albert of Tulare; 9 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 12-8 pm, Wednesday, February 20, 2013 with a Rosary beginning at 6 pm at Peers Lorentzen Funeral Chapel. Graveside services will be at 11 am, Thursday, February 21, 2013 at Tulare District Cemetery.
