Steven Woodward

Williamstown, VT - Steven Robert Woodward passed away peacefully after a long battle with a respiratory illness at his home in Williamstown, Vermont on October 1st, 2024.

Steven was predeceased by his parents Kitty and Robert Woodward. He is survived by his siblings; brothers; Mike, Tom, Doug, Chris Woodward and sister Robin Parker, and his sons Jake, Robert, and Shane Woodward, and a stepdaughter from a previous marriage Sunshyne Rice. He sadly leaves behind his grandchildren Robbie, Jeremy, Levi, and Harrison and many cousins, nieces and nephews and others.

Steven is formerly from Eastman Hill, Lebanon, NH and graduated from Lebanon High School. He was a career military veteran and served in the Army National Guard from 1970-2011 and held many awards and honors. He was a VT LADAC counselor and served veterans in the Outreach Program and assisted in creating Project Healing Waters, which aids veterans in recovery through fly fishing, hiking and other outdoors activities. Steven had 33 years of sobriety and 41 years of service in the army National Guard, with active duty in Desert Storm. He will be forever loved and missed for his care, compassion and quick wit.

Steven will be set to rest at the Vermont Veterans Cemetery in Randolph, VT on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at 1:00 pm. A Celebration Of Life will be published at a later date.
