most will say they can't imagine what it's like to loose a child. well, i can. our son left this earth sept 7th of 2010, while we lived in the high desert. so, while i do not know you, or your precious boy, please know my heart hurts for you as there is nothing more devastating as loosing our children. it's a daily choice to put your foot in front of the other and walk the path of grief and healing the Lord provides. if you want to contact me feel free. we belong to a special club. one we never thought we'd join ;-) love to you and your family.

I can't imagine the pain you are feeling, I have been praying for you and your family. The Lord is holding him close and keeping him warm and safe until your arrival. He was friends with my son Dean Amling and I had the great pleasure of knowing him. He was a good and gentle spirit. The rewards are great in Heaven, and the comfort of being in the presence of the Lord is his reward. God Bless all of you.

Matt's beautiful life will always be remembered in our family. He was kind, caring, generous and a wonderful friend to my sons, Jared and Billy. Family and friends frequent our home often and at family dinners, Matt was always polite, complimentary, and engagingly funny. What an honor to have known him~! Matt's sense of caring was genuine and his friendship with my son Jared will always be one reflected on fondly. Matt used to say "If you're 15 minutes early, you're on time; if you're on time, you're late; if you're late, you're fired." He fondly attributed this saying and his wonderful work ethic to his dad, Mark. Things were only new to Matt one time and he had no fear of a life lived to it's fullest. His sense of confidence was a gift that was contagious to those around him. I valued the beauty of friendship that Jared and Matt shared...they truly loved one another. Though he shared he'd never been out shooting before, Matt, at our New Year's Day Family Event in 2011, was excited to learn. He brought along a manual thrower and clay pigeons and absolutely had a total blast shooting skeet with the boys. Matt proved to be an excellent marksman and a terrible skeet thrower-which the boys finally caught on to. Matt never missed a beat--sharp with a shining smile, he now lives on in Heaven. Our whole family will incredibly miss Matt and are only comforted by the knowledge that our loss is temporary; we'll see him again. May every friend who loved him continue to be inspired by his life and May the Peace and Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ bring comfort and strength to the Mcintosh family during this time. With many prayers...

As "post mom" for the past 6 years, I had the pleasure of knowing Matt and his parents. Matt was the kind of young adult that took EVERY opportunity handed to him as an explorer and used it as stepping stone to achieving his ultimate dream. A dedication and drive that was truly inspiring and not often seen in someone so young, his future was bright. May Matt serve as an inspiration to others following in his steps.
I will remember Matt fondly, his fierce passion and tenacity he so often displayed as an explorer, his devoted parents always their to cheer him on, and his friendship with my daughter.
May God be with his family and friends at this time, and give them peace and strength in knowing that he will forever live on in our memories and in our hearts.
